皆様、こんにちは！  
Google Maps Platform 専門のプロフェッショナル集団、ゴーガです。

2025年4月9日〜11日に米国ラスベガスで開催されているGoogle Cloud Next 2025 にて、Google Maps Platform に 新たに Weather API  が登場したことが発表されました。

なお、現時点（2025年4月11日現在）では、試験版となります。一般提供になるまでは無料でご利用いただけます。一般提供開始予定時期は6月になります。残念ながら、試験版では日本は未対応となっており、今後、いつ対応するかの明確なスケジュールは発表されていません。

Weather API は、世界中の実用的な天気データを提供します。特定の場所の天気データをリクエストでき、気温、降水量など、高解像度（世界中のあらゆる場所で数km以内）で取得可能です。

Weather API では、以下の情報が取得できます。

- 現在の状況
- 時間ごとの予報
- 日ごとの予報
- 時間ごとの過去データ
